Introduction A Day of A Full-Time Lecturer

At Ao International Academy, each teacher has the opportunity to grow alongside the students they mentor. We invite you to experience the charming point of our school through a day in the life of one of our actual lecturers.

  • 8:50 Going to work

It's a 10-minute walk from the nearest station to school. When I arrive, I feel myself straighten up a bit. This is where my day begins. It's a 10-minute walk from Hankyu Kamishinjo Station and Subway Daido-Toyosato Station to school.

  • 9:00 Work starts!

Staff members share information and confirm tasks with each other. Then, they prepare teaching materials and resources for the afternoon classes.

  • 12:00 Lunch break

Lunchtime is a chance to recharge for the afternoon. Staff members sometimes go out for lunch together at nearby restaurants. Occasionally, we also listen to students' concerns, and being a reliable presence beyond education is one of the rewarding aspects of this job.

  • 13:00 Class begins!

Teaching based on the curriculum set by the school, I can arrange my teaching methods based on the class level and the students' atmosphere. Seeing the expressions on their faces when they have an “Aha!” moment or show understanding with an “oh!” is always a pleasure.

    During class

Today's lesson clearly demonstrates where in society the learning can be applied, while valuing students' own words and thoughts throughout the class. For example, we introduce scenarios like “daily interactions with friends,” “shopping at the supermarket,” and “conversations at part-time jobs” to help students visualize real-life situations.

  • 17:00 Lesson Review and Handover

While reviewing the lesson content, I input the students' observations into the data. Finally, I report on today's work and prepare for tasks scheduled for the next day anwards.

  • 18:00 Leaving work

Great work today! Let's do our best again tomorrow.(^^)/

The Lecturer's Voice

  • At Ao International School, I am always inspired by the students' spirit of challenge. When I see their smiles break out during class and shout “I did it!”, I feel myself growing alongside them as their lecturer. It is precisely because we foster an environment where students can challenge themselves without fear of failure that makes both students and teachers can learn together.

  • The class includes students from various countries. Every time I encounter differences in culture and values, my own perspective broadens. The charming point of this job lies not only in teaching Japanese, also in experiencing that sense of “connected with the world” every day.

  • Working in a new environment can make you feel anxious, but Ao International School has experienced staff who create an atmosphere where it's easy to consult about lesson preparation and student support. Working as a supportive team allows you to focus on teaching with peace of mind.
